Welcome New India Currents Readers

An appeal to New India Currents readers to support Hindu spiritual care. Over 250 trained chaplains serving 9+ countries worldwide.

Support Professional Hindu Chaplaincy

When a student in crisis needs spiritual guidance, when a family faces a loved one's final hours, when someone navigates grief or a life transition — chaplains of Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, or Muslim faith are readily available. But for Hindus, this support is often missing. HSCI has trained over 250 Hindu chaplains and counselors who are ready to provide culturally appropriate, spiritually grounded care.

About HSCI

The Hindu Spiritual Care Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2018, operated by volunteer leadership. Our Hindu Chaplaincy Training (CHT) graduate certificate program is recognized by the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, a WASC-accredited consortium.
